About Us

 HISTORY / TEAM / OBJECTIVES

The Miami NW Express Track Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was founded in 1979 by the legendary Coach Jesse Holt Jr., an accomplished athlete, trainer, and mentor whose influence has touched thousands worldwide. Under his leadership, the club has grown to include over 400 members annually and has achieved an unparalleled track record: 100 state champions, 280 gold medals, countless national titles, and four Olympians, including medalists in Beijing (2008) and Paris (2024). Additionally, we’ve had nine of our members represent Team USA in international competitions, including one being crowned as World Champion.

Coach Holt’s vision extended beyond competition. He established the Annual NW Track & Field Classic, one of the world’s largest international youth competitions, drawing over 3,000 participants annually from countries like the Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Guyana and many cities throughout the United States. The Classic serves as the club’s primary fundraiser, supporting vital initiatives such as purchasing equipment and insurance, and it helps to fund travel, lodging, and entry fees for meets. Through these efforts, the Miami NW Express Track Club continues to foster excellence and inspire future generations that return to become positive contributors in our community, serving as coaches, teachers, school administrators, clergy, law enforcement officers, and volunteers in youth programs.

We extend an invitation to you and your family to join us for an experience of a lifetime. Mark your calendars now as the 49th Annual Event will be held on June 14-15, 2025 and also for the 9th Annual Jesse Holt Invitational Meet on March 1, 2025.
